HOW IT WORKS

The Sweet Pea Shop is children's clothing consignment store. Where consigners earn 30% of the selling price, paid by e-transfer or 30% in-store credit.

HOW DO I CONSIGN? 

1. Gather your items: Collect all items you want to consign, please have a minimum of 10 items. 
2. Inspect: All items must be checked for stains, rips or tears.
  • All items must be checked for stains, rips or tears. If some items are stained and you believe they can be removed, please specify this item The Sweet Pea Shop can try to remove the stain for a $1.00 Cleaning Fee. If the stain does not get removed, you can have the item back or you may donate the “Proceeds Bin” where it will be sold for $2.00 and 100% of the profits will be donated to a local charity of The Sweet Pea Shops choosing.
3. Wash: All items must be cleaned and or freshly laundered. 
4. Fold: Buttons, zips and snaps must be done and items should be folded or laid flat when given to us.

Please read over the
Consignment Agreement for more details prior to becoming a Consigner with The Sweet Pea Shop.

We are not experts in the safety of apparel or gear, and we do not repair items, so please do not provide us with anything if you have any reason to believe that it could be unsafe for little sweet peas. We reserve the right not to accept and/or sell any items. If this is the case, we will notify you, and give you the option to take it back, or we will donate it for you.

As we have many consignors, please allow thirty (30) days for your items to go online. The Sweet Pea Shop does accept all seasons, therefore, an item may take up to one (1) year to go online, these items will be linked to your account and imputed at the correct time of year. 

HOW DO I GET PAID? 

You will receive an account for our online "Consigner Portal" that provides a report of your inventory and sold items. You may request a payout anytime by choosing from the following options:

  1. Credit to your account of 30% of the selling price from each consigned item sold (not including the administration surcharge of $0.99)

or

  1. Direct payment via e-transfer of 30% of the selling price for each consigned item sold (not including the administration surcharge of $0.99). The balance in your account must exceed $5.00. A processing fee of $1.00 will be deducted from the balance of payment for each e-transfer if under $15.

Payouts can take up to 14 days.

ITEMS WE ACCEPT

The Sweet Pea Shop is will accept, the following:

  • Maternity clothing, accessories & gear
  • Nursing clothing
  • Baby clothing: preemie and newborn up to size 24 months
  • Toddler clothing: sizes 2T to 4T
  • Kids clothing: sizes 4 to 12
  • Accessories
  • Toys
  • New with tags, never used items

Socks can be donated and will be sold for $1.00 with 100% of the profits going to a local charity of The Sweet Peas Shops' choosing.

We are not limited to the brand.

WHAT DO YOU NOT SELL? 

We do not sell:

  • Ripped or damaged items (broken zippers, missing buttons, worn hem)
  • Undergarments (unless brand new and never worn)
  • Homemade items
  • Recalled items

CONSIGNMENT TERMS

  1. Items for Consignment: We accept new or pre-used baby and kids clothing and gear along with maternity and nursing clothing and accessories. We do not accept items that are torn, ripped, or have broken zippers or missing buttons. We cannot accept items that have been recalled. 
  2. Time in Store: We sell consignment items for a minimum term of 6 months (180 days). Price reductions will occur at the discretion of The Sweet Pea Shop. Any consigned items that remain unsold after 60 days will receive a markdown of 15% and those unsold after 90 days will receive a markdown of 25%. 
  3. Unsold Items: Items unsold after 6 months (180 days) may be returned to the consignor or donated to a local charity. 
  4. Payment: You will receive 30% of the selling price for your items or 30% store credit. 
  5. Liability: We do not assume responsibility nor do we reimburse for loss or damage due to fire, theft, or for any other reason. All risk of ownership of consigned items shall stay with the consigner.
